The situation is currently being referred to as recession tourism in Panama or the increasing demand for low cost, as well as high value experiences that, in many a circumstance, by foreigners experiencing downtrodden times in their respective countries, end up giving way to temporary or even full time relocation.
This was all outlined in a previous article. It is a sector that is not detailed in any of the IPAT presentations, or even addressed by any of the nation’s influential leaders. Whether intended or not, Panama’s recession tourism sector is quickly growing.
